Indoor Horse Driving Trials Club
We are a horse driving trials club with about 70 active competitors in our region. We run 5 or 6 events in the winter months and encourage newcomers to start competing by having junior and newcomer classes. We also provide training for horses, ponies and drivers in a safe indoor environment. Qualifiers compete at the national indoor finals in April and we have produced several national champions. We are affiliated to British Horse Driving Trials Association.
East Anglian Carriage Driving Group Ltd
We are a club which promotes the active participation in horse driving trials for drivers, grooms and a large number of volunteers. We run training and competitive events, open to everyone from 10 years old. Our oldest active member is 80 and came third at an event in July. Our sport involves teamwork - anyone can join in as a groom or volunteer - free. It is free to watch, too. We are affiliated to the British Horse Driving Trials Association.
Ever seen the Grand National and fancied a go at it yourself? Horse racing is a sport in which two or more people ride horses over a flat course or one with jumps and ditches, the aim being to be the first past the post. Jockeys are often men and train to a professional level, but if you like horse riding there's no reason why you can't take part too.
