Big Lottery Funding allocated through the Well-Being in the East portfolio will fund the participation of up to 100 businesses across the East region in the "Fit For Business" programme for a 2-year period.
Fit for Business is the national recognition scheme for workplace health and wellbeing. The scheme offers a holistic approach to workplace health, which will appeal to all employees by covering the five core health promotion areas of: healthy eating, physical activity, mental health and wellbeing, smoke free workplaces, drugs and alcohol awareness
By taking action in each of these categories, your company becomes Fit for Business recognised. Achieving recognition status demonstrates commitment to the crucial area of Corporate Social Responsibility and enables the use of the programme logo on company literature and marketing material.

sportessex is working in partnership with Fit For Business to roll out the Well-Being in the East programme across Essex engaging with a number of partners who have shown an interest in creating a healthier workforce.
